InterSystems TrakCare Supports Luye Medical Group’s Strategic Plans to Create a World-Class Hospital Network

BEIJING, 18 December, 2015 – InterSystems, a global leader in health information technology, today announced that Luye Medical Group has selected InterSystems TrakCare® to support its growth plans, ensure its hospitals meet the highest of international standards, and provide patients with high-quality medical services.

Luye Medical Group is a new medical group with plans to open more than 20 specialist hospitals and clinics in Yantai, Chongqing, Shanghai, Chengdu and other locations. TrakCare will enable the group to unite several specialties within one shared information environment, including rehabilitation, women’s health, dentistry, health screening, geriatrics, and oncology.

“Luye Medical Group’s goal is to achieve the highest possible standards for medical care and all of our services are certified by international accreditation organizations,” said Xiaohua Ma, Director of Information Management for Luye Medical Group. “As a unified system TrakCare enables all our staff to use one system – one login, one environment – so they can efficiently collaborate, easily train new staff across departments, and enhance the patient journey. We believe that InterSystems’ global experience can also support us to provide better services in China.”

TrakCare is one of the world’s leading Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and is recognized by KLAS research analyst firm as one of the fastest growing EMR systems in the international market*. It will enable patient information to be seamlessly collected and shared throughout the Luye Medical Group, giving clinicians a continuous and complete view of patient information. TrakCare allows healthcare professionals to work with patient records on any Internet-connected device, at any time and anywhere. Sophisticated workflow capabilities enable clinicians to view important priorities, make informed decisions and collaborate with care teams – improving productivity and patient outcomes.

By deploying a data center and implementing a single instance of TrakCare, Luye Medical Group will share all patient information throughout its branch hospitals. A unified database is also more efficient for maintenance, implementation and upgrades, with differences between Luye’s hospitals accommodated through local configuration. For example, TrakCare can allow each hospital to set its own prices or set different fees for different types of patients.

A highly scalable, unified database also allows the group to quickly deploy TrakCare in new hospitals. Luye Medical Group can define data common to its hospitals, such as medical items, drug information and billing information, thus saving time and improving the efficiency of healthcare personnel.

“InterSystems is proud to enter into a partnership with Luye Medical Group. Providing an international standard healthcare information system will help to accelerate the long-term growth plans of Luye Medical Group in China,” said Luciano Brustia, InterSystems Country Manager for China. “In recent years, China’s private hospitals have seen rapid development, and many have already deployed TrakCare to support their development. InterSystems will continue to provide leading international technology and services to outstanding hospitals in China to help them provide patients with a high-quality healthcare experience.”
